XRP derivative open interest dropped from nearly $3 billion on October 6 to approximately $1.08 billion by October 17, data show. The metric recovered partially to around $1.39 billion by October 26, while XRP traded near $2.63 with market capitalization gaining over $10 billion during the week.

Ripple will release 1 billion XRP from escrow on November 1, 2025, as part of its monthly unlock schedule. The release is valued at $2.48 billion at the current price of $2.48 per token. The timing coincides with pending SEC decisions on XRP ETF applications, with Grayscale's filing deadline set for October 29.
