OpenAI UK Ltd more than trebled its turnover to £293m in 2025, the Guardian reports, as average pay and shares per London employee reached £2.3m.

Anthropic told investors on October 14 that Q3 revenue reached $16.8bn and it was profitable on an adjusted basis, ahead of a November IPO.

Bumble is in advanced talks to be taken private by Ithaca Holdings in a deal valuing the dating app at about $1bn, Reuters reports. Shares jumped 50%.

Anthropic’s IPO prospectus shows CEO Dario Amodei received $18M in total compensation for 2025, largely in stock. President Daniela Amodei received $16.4M over the same period. Both executives had their annual salaries doubled to $1.4M in July. The company said it could go public as early as this autumn and that its valuation could exceed $2 trillion, after submitting a confidential listing application in June, according to Reuters.

OpenAI unveiled the GPT-6.1 Sol model, a $500 Pro plan and a faster Ultrafast tier at DevDay 2026. The company said its API maintained more than 99% reliability and cut time to first token by 45%. It also said its models have helped solve more than 100 maths problems that had been open for decades. OpenAI shelved the GPT-6.1 Astra update this week and did not provide an IPO timeline.

Anthropic has drafted IPO paperwork that would leave its seven cofounders with 50.1% of the company’s voting power after listing through a newly created entity called the Founder LLC, giving them outsized control over major decisions. The filing also details 2025 pay of nearly $18m for CEO Dario Amodei and $16.4m for president and board chair Daniela Amodei. All seven cofounders have pledged 80% of their Anthropic stakes to charity. Reuters reviewed the draft filing.

Meta has hired MongoDB chief executive Chirantan “CJ” Desai to lead sales for its enterprise AI platform, tasked with taking products such as Muse and other AI tools to business customers. Desai has spent about 11 months as MongoDB’s president and CEO, according to Business Insider. After the announcement, MongoDB shares fell as much as 27% intraday on Monday to a nearly two-month low. Meta shares climbed 11% last week as investors bet on its AI agent business.

Anthropic has released Claude Opus 5.5, pricing it at $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens, down 20% from Opus 5. The company said the model performs similarly to the more expensive Fable 5.1 on most tasks. It is Anthropic’s first model since CEO Dario Amodei called for third-party evaluations, which Article 55 of the EU AI Act has required in Europe since August 2025.

OpenAI is considering another private funding round before an IPO at a valuation of about $1.5tn, roughly double its most recent $730bn private valuation, according to reports. Investors have recently floated investing at a $1.2tn valuation, but OpenAI believes it should be valued at least $1.5tn. The company has held early discussions with large investors after completing a secondary share sale of about $7bn in August and raising $122bn in March.
