The Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) is a high-throughput execution environment originally developed for the Solana blockchain. Unlike the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), which is single-threaded, SVM supports parallel execution via its Sealevel engine, allowing thousands of non-conflicting transactions to be processed simultaneously.
