1. Trading Behavior Guidelines

The following behaviors may cause differences between a copier's positions and your positions. Make sure you understand them:

Normal Variance Cases

  • Manual actions by copiers: Copiers can place orders or close positions manually on their own, so their account results may not fully match yours.
  • TP/SL differences: Your TP/SL settings and those of the copiers may differ, and whichever triggers first will cause the results to diverge.
  • Copy delay: There is a delay of a few seconds when copying an opened position, so the copier's filled price may differ from yours.

Operations to Avoid

  • Do not modify the copy comment: The system uses {{Copy.DealKey}} to identify the association. MT5 or the bridge must not change this field, or position closes cannot be matched correctly.
  • Do not change fees during an active settlement cycle: If your business allows fee changes, be sure to notify copiers and wait until the current cycle ends before the change takes effect.

Strategy Mode Switching

Mode Description Use Case
All Normal state, both opening and closing positions are synchronized Operate normally
Out Only (Close Only) Stops accepting new position openings, but continues syncing closing actions When you want to gradually wind down your strategy and stop accepting new copy subscriptions

2. Subscription Fee Settlement

Performance Fee: High Water Mark (HWM) Mode

High water mark mode ensures that performance fees are only charged on the portion of a copier's cumulative profit that exceeds the previous all-time high.
Example:
  • Copier initial balance: $10,000
  • First month profit $1,000 (high water mark = $11,000), fee charged: 20% = $200
  • Second month loss $500 (high water mark stays unchanged at $11,000), no fee charged
  • Third month profit $800 (exceeds high water mark by $300), 20% fee charged only on the $300 = $60
This differs from positive profit mode. Positive profit only determines whether the current cycle has a positive profit. It does not track historical drawdown.

Handling Insufficient Balance

If a copier's account balance is not enough to cover pending fees, the system will:
  1. Send a warning notification to the copier.
  2. If auto-processing is enabled, the subscription may be automatically suspended or canceled.

3. Manage Your Copiers

Depending on the permissions granted by the platform, you can:
Feature Description
View subscription list Check the current number of subscribers and subscription status
View copy trading results You can view aggregated data, personal account details of copiers are not disclosed
Archive subscription With platform authorization, you can remove copiers
View nickname Visible if platform settings allow copiers' names to be displayed

4. Leaderboard Metrics

Metric Description
Return (Year/Month) The time-weighted return of the account over a specific period. This indicator shows the percentage return on assets and is designed to exclude the impact of deposits and withdrawals.
Max Drawdown The maximum loss from peak to trough
Win Rate Percentage of winning trades
Sharpe Ratio The excess return earned per unit of risk taken
Volatility Ratio Shows the effectiveness of the trading strategy, that is, how many times the average profit exceeds the average loss over a specific period
Recovery Factor The speed of recovery from a drawdown. A higher number means the account recovers from losses faster.
Leaderboard data updates approximately every 15 minutes. Note that the data is delayed to some extent and does not represent real-time position status.
