PANews, July 25: Crosschain protocol Across Protocol published a post-incident report on a Relayer security event. The protocol said that on July 17, attackers exploited a vulnerability in Risk Labs' offchain Solana event-reader software, generating 1,627 fraudulent deposit transactions with a combined face value of about $41.7 million. Before Solana services were halted, the Relayer fronted funds for 581 of those transactions, deploying roughly $4.5 million of its own capital. Around $500,000 of the attacker's funds remains trapped in the protocol, putting the net loss at under $4 million. The remaining roughly $37 million in fabricated deposits has been invalidated.
