BlackRock's IBIT Draws $277.6M on Aug. 27, More Than Total US Bitcoin ETF Inflows
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
US spot Bitcoin ETFs extended a nine-session inflow streak, with BlackRock's IBIT drawing $277.6m on Aug. 27 versus $242.3m category net inflows, implying offsetting outflows elsewhere (notably FBTC and GBTC). Concentration of flows into the deepest, most liquid vehicle reinforces institutional preference and market structure support for BTC exposure, while continued GBTC redemptions highlight ongoing rotation within the ETF complex.

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) pulled in $277.6 million on Aug. 27, data from Farside Investors show. US spot Bitcoin ETFs as a group posted $242.3 million of net inflows for the session, leaving IBIT responsible for about 115% of the day's net total.
Other major products saw redemptions. Fidelity's FBTC recorded $83.6 million in outflows, while Grayscale's GBTC lost $27.2 million. A basket of smaller funds brought in a combined $75.5 million, including Bitwise's BITB, ARK 21Shares' ARKB, VanEck's HODL, MSBT and Grayscale's lower-fee BTC fund. Excluding IBIT, the rest of the market collectively posted a $35.3 million net outflow.
The category's winning streak extended to nine straight trading sessions, starting Aug. 17. Over that stretch, US Bitcoin ETFs have attracted roughly $3.05 billion, with IBIT contributing about $2.3 billion and notching inflows in every session.
IBIT has amassed about $63 billion in cumulative net inflows and manages roughly $62 billion in assets. Across the full US spot Bitcoin ETF lineup, cumulative net inflows stand near $54.8 billion, with total assets around $100.9 billion. IBIT's cumulative inflows exceed the category total because legacy withdrawals, particularly from vehicles such as GBTC, have offset subscriptions into IBIT and other funds.
IBIT reached $50 billion in assets in about 11 months, the fastest ETF on record to hit that milestone. It later topped $70 billion after 341 trading days. Options on IBIT launched in November 2024 and have grown into one of the largest venues for gaining Bitcoin options exposure.
Market participants say institutional allocators—including financial advisers, registered investment advisers, hedge funds and family offices—often prioritize liquidity, trading volume and issuer infrastructure when choosing an ETF. BlackRock, which oversees more than $10 trillion globally and maintains deep distribution ties across wealth-management and institutional platforms, has captured roughly three-quarters of the money that has flowed into Bitcoin ETFs over the past nine sessions.
