FBI Seizes More Than $560,000 in Crypto Tied to Alleged Hamas Fundraising

U.S. authorities have confiscated more than $560,000 in cryptocurrency and taken control of several domains and servers that investigators say were used by Hamas to raise funds and recruit supporters, Odaily Planet Daily reported, citing Bitcoin.com News. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said the actions were carried out with court authorization and involved three seizures on March 25, June 25, and October 10, 2025. Investigators identified an encrypted group chat that directed supporters to a fundraising site and monitored the rotating cryptocurrency addresses used for donations. The operation also yielded information on thousands of people who had previously contacted Hamas online and attempted to contribute through cryptocurrency or traditional payment methods. The latest move builds on a separate seizure of $200,000 in cryptocurrency announced in March 2025. Investigators said at least 17 related addresses have moved more than $1.5 million since October 2024, with proceeds routed through exchanges, over-the-counter brokers, and accounts in Turkey.
