Cryptocurrency hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger has been implicated in a critical supply chain attack following the discovery of malicious spy chips embedded inside compromised units, according to reports emerging from the CryptoBilis incident. Victims reportedly suffered unauthorized asset drainage during initial device setup procedures. On-chain forensic analysis indicates cumulative outflows from compromised addresses ranging between $86 million and $102 million across six major networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Solana. While decentralized transaction records substantiate substantial unauthorized capital flight, neither Ledger nor law enforcement agencies have issued a verified, official accounting of total damages as investigations into the distribution pipeline remain ongoing.
