Optimism and Unichain to Launch Native Interoperability on Mainnet, Starting With ETH Transfers

The Optimism Foundation and Unichain Foundation plan native interoperability on mainnet, with Unichain and OP Mainnet as the first pair. Crosschain messages would be verified at the protocol level, removing third party bridge validators. Phase one covers native ETH transfers between the chains. Token support and more chains may follow, pending technical work and a separate governance vote.
