Odaily Planet Daily reports that SoSoValue data show global publicly traded companies excluding miners shifted back to net Bitcoin buying last week. As of 8:00 a.m. ET on Sept. 21, 2026, the group recorded net purchases of $183 million for the week.
Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) bought 950 BTC at an average price of $79,670, spending about $75.7 million. The purchase was its first in two weeks and lifted total holdings to 846,000 BTC.
Japan's Metaplanet made no Bitcoin purchases last week, extending its streak to 10 consecutive weeks without adding BTC.
Two other firms reported Bitcoin additions or holdings disclosures. Ethereum-focused asset company Bitmine said on Sept. 14 after 8:00 a.m. ET that it purchased 1 BTC, without disclosing the purchase amount, bringing holdings to 212 BTC. Asset manager Strive said on Sept. 21 it spent roughly $108 million last week to acquire 1,355 BTC at $79,475 each, raising total holdings to about 26,355 BTC.
In total, publicly traded companies globally excluding miners now hold 1,156,080 BTC, up 2.67% from the prior week. Those holdings are valued at approximately $98.65 billion and represent about 5.8% of Bitcoin's circulating market cap.
