Santiment: ETH exchange balances slide 18% since June as BTC holdings tick up
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Santiment data show ETH exchange balances fell ~18% since June 3 to the lowest level in the period, with continued net outflows even as ETH rose ~27% since Aug 16. This reduces readily available spot liquidity and can tighten order books. In contrast, BTC exchange balances rose ~0.25% to near recent highs, signaling comparatively higher on-exchange supply versus ETH.

ChainCatcher reports that Santiment Intelligence data show Ethereum held on exchanges has fallen sharply since June 3, declining from about 7.69 million ETH to roughly 6.28 million ETH. The drop of around 1.41 million ETH represents an 18% reduction. Since Aug. 19 alone, another 275,000 ETH has moved off exchanges, pushing balances to the lowest level seen during the period covered by the report.
Bitcoin tells a different story. Over the same timeframe, BTC exchange balances rose about 0.25% and now sit near recent highs.
Santiment added that the drawdown in ETH exchange balances has continued even as prices climbed. Since Aug. 16, ETH is up roughly 27%, yet sizable outflows from exchanges have persisted.
