Whale 58bro.eth Buys BTC Range Bets, Maintains $26.1M Short Exposure
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
A prominent on-chain trader, 58bro.eth, increased "No" bets on Polymarket implying a tighter September BTC range ($70k–$95k) while simultaneously expanding a sizable BTC short on Hyperliquid. The divergence suggests a range-focused approach paired with directional hedging rather than a clear bullish or bearish conviction. Near-term, this is mainly a positioning/flow signal and may marginally influence sentiment around range expectations.

Huo Xing Finance reports that on Sept. 20, TradingBeats data showed cross-market trader 58bro.eth (X: 0x58bro) simultaneously bought multiple Polymarket contracts betting that Bitcoin will stay within a September range: not below $70,000 and not above $95,000.
Between Sept. 19 and 20, the trader added the following "No" positions on Polymarket: about 10,000 shares of "BTC will drop to $70,000 in September" for roughly $9,604; about 8,578 shares of "BTC will reach $95,000 in September" for roughly $8,180; and around $49,300 for 50,000 shares of "BTC will reach $100,000 in September." As of publication, the implied probabilities for these "No" outcomes were about 95.3%, 95.7% and 98.85%.
This is not 58bro.eth's first time trading monthly BTC ranges. In July, the trader targeted a $47,500–$75,000 band, and in August widened the range to $60,000–$100,000. For September, the lower bound was lifted to $70,000 while the upper bound was tightened to $95,000, implying a higher and narrower range than in August.
From July to August, 58bro.eth made 19 monthly BTC and ETH price predictions and each produced positive returns, totaling about $12,700 in profit. All were "No" bets, with most entries made when implied probabilities were already above 95%, pointing to a strategy centered on high-probability range boundaries rather than extreme directional calls.
Positioning on Hyperliquid is not fully market-neutral. Over the past three days, the trader increased a BTC short from 88.75 BTC to 105.25 BTC. Combined BTC and ETH shorts are valued at about $26.137 million, with an unrealized loss of roughly $1.132 million. Hyperliquid data shows cumulative profit of $33.7 million and a historical win rate of 90%. Average holding time is about 23 days, broadly in line with the monthly prediction horizon.
