XRPL Upgrade Slated for Sept. 29 Secures Validator Backing, Draws Early Institutional Interest

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
XRPL's Batch V1.1 amendment has backing from 30 of 35 tracked validators, above the 80% threshold to keep the activation countdown running toward a projected Sept. 29 rollout. RippleX says asset managers and commercial teams are already designing products around atomic, multi-transaction batching, enabling delivery-versus-payment settlement for tokenized assets. After an earlier Batch version was scrapped due to an authorization flaw, the redesigned release raises the stakes for institutional adoption.

XRP Ledger's next major network upgrade is still more than a week away, but signs suggest some institutions are already lining up to use it. The Batch V1.1 amendment is backed by 30 of 35 tracked validators, clearing the 80% threshold needed to keep the activation countdown in motion. If support holds, the change is expected to go live shortly after Sept. 29. RippleX says asset managers and other commercial teams are already building products around Batch ahead of activation. Ayo Akinyele, head of engineering at RippleX, told CoinDesk that projects are being designed with Batch in mind, with more details on partners expected after the amendment activates. Batch V1.1 lets an account bundle up to eight transactions into a single operation with atomic execution, meaning the full set either succeeds together or fails as a unit. For asset managers, that structure can address a core settlement issue in tokenized markets. In a tokenized bond trade, for example, atomic settlement reduces the risk that the asset transfer completes while payment does not. By linking the transfer and the payment so both settle at the same time, Batch supports delivery-versus-payment (DvP). Previous analysis of the Sept. 29 XRPL upgrade also indicated Batch could streamline swaps and other transactions that typically require multiple steps. The early institutional attention stands out because Batch V1.1 is effectively a restart. The first Batch amendment was disabled after developers identified a critical authorization vulnerability. The updated version was redesigned and went through additional security review before re-entering the amendment process. XRPL documentation states that BatchV1_1 replaces the original Batch amendment and addresses the critical flaw, raising the stakes of the rollout beyond a routine upgrade. XRPL is also working on other institution-focused features, including native lending. That effort is still waiting for enough validator support. Batch, by contrast, already has sufficient backing and is moving toward activation.
