Cocoa futures rebound as dollar softens; New York CCU26 rises 2.10% and London CAU26 gains 2.06%

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Cocoa futures rebounded over 2% as a softer DXY triggered short covering after a two-week slide tied to improving near-term supply and higher ICE inventories. West African exports remain strong (Ivory Coast shipments +21% y/y; Nigeria exports +30%), but demand signals are mixed: Europe grindings hit a six-year Q2 low while North America and Asia surprised higher. Forward supply risk (weaker 2026/27 crop estimates, El Niño) supports prices.

International cocoa futures rebounded, with September New York cocoa (CCU26) up 2.10% and London cocoa #7 (CAU26) up 2.06%. In key producing countries, Ivory Coast shipments for the current 2025/26 marketing year reached 2.11 million tons, up 21% year on year, while Nigeria’s June exports rose 30% year on year to 18,922 tons. Demand signals were weaker in Europe as Q2 grindings fell 4.6% to a six-year low, and early estimates put the next season’s output at 1.8 million tons, down 18% from 2025/26. The combination of supply-demand tensions and a weaker U.S. dollar helped lift prices.
