Woodside projects FY26 EPS at $2.184 as Scarborough nears completion, CommSec forecast shows

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Woodside's FY26 update showed revenue and underlying NPAT growth, with free cash flow boosted by a 20% rise in realised prices, partly offsetting a 13% production decline. Progress on Scarborough, Trion and Louisiana LNG supports a medium-term volume and margin narrative, but analyst EPS expectations imply FY28 sensitivity to potentially lower energy prices if Middle East disruptions ease. The read-through is modestly supportive for oil-linked risk appetite.

Woodside Energy reported FY26 operating revenue rose 13% to US$7.4 billion, while underlying NPAT increased 7% to $1.3 billion and free cash flow jumped 159% to $352 million. The company said a 20% lift in average realised prices to US$74 per barrel of oil equivalent partly offset a 13% drop in production to 86.5 million barrels of oil equivalent. Woodside also updated progress on key developments, with Scarborough 98% complete, Trion 64% and Louisiana LNG 28% complete. CommSec forecasts FY26 EPS of $2.184 and projects FY28 EPS could fall 5% to $2.52, according to its estimates.
