US and China drive $2.62 billion net inflows into gold ETFs last week

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Physically backed gold ETFs saw $2.62B in net inflows last week, led by the US and China, marking a notable shift back to positive demand. With gold holding near the $4,000 level, positioning looks increasingly sensitive to next week's Fed decision and persistent West Asia geopolitical risk, both of which can reinforce short-term haven allocation and volatility in gold-linked products.

Global gold ETFs posted net inflows of $2.62 billion last week, led by the US with $1.55 billion and China with $633 million. Gold was quoted at $4,077.37 an ounce, hovering near the $4,000 support level. Analysts said the US Federal Reserve’s policy decision next week and persistent tensions in West Asia could reinforce haven demand. The move marked the first notable return to positive flows in recent weeks, after prices fell more than 25% from the $5,608 peak earlier this year.
