Blocknet (BLOCK) is a decentralized protocol that allows for communication, interaction, and exchange between different private and public blockchains. It enables developers to create cross-chain decentralized apps (DApps) or use the protocol as a second layer to extend blockchain functionality, creating an "internet of blockchains." The protocol consists of three main components: XBridge, which enables trustless exchange between any digital assets supported by the protocol through APIs; XName, an inter-chain address system and blockchain router; and XChat, an end-to-end-encrypted peer-to-peer messaging module.
