SEC Settles Lawsuit With Justin Sun and TRON, Rainberry to Pay $10 Million Penalty
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reached a settlement in its lawsuit against Justin Sun, TRON and related entities, requiring Rainberry to pay $10 million in penalties, the SEC said. Rainberry is the company behind BitTorrent, which joined the TRON ecosystem following its 2018 acquisition by Sun. Under the proposed judgment, remaining claims against Sun and the associated foundations would be dismissed, subject to federal court approval.
