Bitmine Boosts ETH Staking by $320M, Holdings Could Climb to 5.08M ETH
Bitmine, founded by Tom Lee, ramped up its Ethereum staking activity over the past 24 hours, adding roughly $320 million worth of ETH. The company now has 3.5 million ETH staked—about 70.1% of its total holdings—valued at approximately $8.1 billion.
On-chain data indicates that 75,600 ETH was moved to Coinbase Prime for staking early Thursday, following another 61,200 ETH set up on Wednesday. Separately, three wallets believed to be connected received 100,000 ETH (around $234 million) ahead of Thursday; if those addresses are confirmed as related, Bitmine's total ETH holdings would increase to 5.08 million.
For context, SharpLink holds 869,000 ETH. That puts Bitmine at roughly 580% the size and gives it control of more than 4.1% of Ethereum's total supply.
