CFTC appoints Ripple, Coinbase, Kraken executives to Innovation Advisory Committee

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission announced on Feb. 12 the roster for its Innovation Advisory Committee, appointing executives from Ripple, Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, Uniswap Labs, Solana Labs, Cboe Global Markets, CME Group, Nasdaq, Robinhood and Crypto.com. The panel, launched Jan. 12 by Chairman Michael S. Selig as a rebrand of the former Technology Advisory Committee, will advise the CFTC on artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing and other technologies shaping trading, clearing, risk management and oversight in U.S. derivatives and commodity markets. Selig said on social platform X the committee's broad financial-sector perspective is intended to help "futureproof" CFTC-regulated markets and support development of clear rules for what he called the "Golden Age of American Financial Markets."
