Lido Finance Suspends New wstETH Deposits on ZKsync Bridge Following Security Weakness

Lido Finance has suspended new deposits into its wstETH bridge endpoint contract on ZKsync after detecting a security weakness, the protocol disclosed. Current wstETH holders on the Layer 2 network are unaffected, with no evidence of exploitation, and transfers and withdrawals remain operational, while other bridges are not impacted. The protocol deactivated critical functions via an emergency multisig, with the pause expected to last several weeks as a technical fix is prepared; an audited patch is planned for implementation during the next governance round in late March or early April 2026, following a required DAO vote.
