Tether, Circle authorize $600 million stablecoin issuance on Solana

Tether and Circle authorized a combined $600 million in new stablecoins on Solana on Tuesday, according to onchain data. The issuances totaled $350 million in USDT and $250 million in USDC, minted from the companies' respective treasuries within roughly an hour. The added supply comes as Solana activity has picked up and demand has grown for high-throughput, dollar-pegged settlement rails. The funds are expected to be deployed across major decentralized exchanges to help meet rising trading volumes. Source: Whale Alert
