ZachXBT: Kraken user reportedly loses $18.2M in social engineering scam as attacker swaps 878 ETH to BTC via THORChain

Blockchain investigator ZachXBT said a Kraken user was allegedly targeted in a social engineering attack that led to an estimated $18.2 million loss. The attacker is now moving funds by bridging 878 ETH into BTC through THORChain, with on-chain data showing the transfers. The pattern resembles prior cases in which non-KYC protocols were used to launder stolen crypto.
