Crypto User Loses $27M in Suspected Malware Attack

A crypto user identified as Babur reported losing $27 million in digital assets on Dec. 5 after malware compromised their computer, BlockBeats reports. Slowmist founder Yu Xian said the attack occurred after Babur executed a downloaded file, which leaked private keys including two for a Safe multisig wallet. Yu noted that current poisoning scams do not target iPhones or private keys stored locally in iOS wallet apps, suggesting both Safe keys were accessible on the compromised computer.
