Robinhood picks Ethereum via Arbitrum for 24/7 stocks, yield and DeFi across 120+ countries over Solana
Robinhood chose to roll out its global crypto services on Ethereum via Arbitrum rather than Solana. The decision highlights that institutions prioritize ecosystem maturity and security, not just low costs. Solana recently saw a validator-offline incident affecting 29% of staked SOL that was not recorded on its status page, while its H1 2025 revenue was 95% tied to priority fees and Jito tips and its H1 2026 network revenue fell 87% year over year. By contrast, Arbitrum surpassed 10M daily transactions within two weeks of mainnet and launched with tokenized U.S. equities, Uniswap and Chainlink, underscoring the scaling capacity of Ethereum’s L2s.

GoMining hack drains 600+ wallets as attackers consolidate $2.8M in ETH
GoMining has suffered a security incident in which a hack emptied more than 600 wallets, with total losses of about $2.8 million in crypto assets. The attackers then swapped the stolen funds into ETH and consolidated the holdings. The incident directly threatens the safety of funds held by GOMINING token holders and highlights serious weaknesses in the project’s wallet security. The token’s price could face negative pressure, while the large-scale conversion into ETH may add additional selling pressure to the Ethereum market.

SBI VC Trade and BITPoint to halt purchases of Jasmy, APT, BNB and PEPE on Oct. 7, 2026
SBI-affiliated exchanges SBI VC Trade and BITPoint said they will delist nine digital assets as part of a strategic service integration and compliance overhaul. Purchase services for Jasmy, $APT, $BNB, and $PEPE are scheduled to end on October 7, 2026. Users must complete all sales and withdrawals by October 28, or remaining balances will be liquidated and converted into Japanese yen for account credit in November. Jasmy CEO @H_Hara_Jasmy said the decision stems from BITPOINT’s internal handling policies and is unrelated to the project’s business activities or the Jasmy Chain development roadmap.

Solana starts five-stage rent cut on mainnet, unlocking up to 3.06M SOL for users to reclaim
Solana has launched a five-stage rent reduction program on its mainnet that lowers the minimum SOL required to keep token accounts open. As the threshold drops, users can reclaim excess SOL previously locked in those accounts. Estimates suggest that by the end of stage five, up to 3.06M SOL could be available to claim, worth about $319M at current prices and viewed by some community members as a surprise “airdrop.”

Three blockchains halted in four days as emergency actions exposed limits of rollbacks and cross-chain recovery
Several blockchain networks recently faced price-manipulation attacks involving tokens such as TONIC, leading to emergency halts and, in one case, a chain rollback. TRM Labs estimated roughly $75 million was improperly borrowed, with about $6 million bridged to Ethereum and around $68.7 million reversed on Cronos. Bitquery reported net outflows of about $8.3 million on Ethereum and the discarding of 10,961 blocks, while project teams said they fully recovered 531,600 bnUSD and 1.366 million SODA and retrieved 82,430 USDC. Officials said user assets were not affected, but the incidents highlighted the limits of network halts once funds move across chains or into custodial venues.
