Bitmine Immersion Technologies launched MAVAN in March 2026, repositioning itself from crypto accumulation toward institutional Ethereum staking infrastructure. The company said MAVAN started with more than 3.1 million ETH (about $6.8 billion) and, with total holdings near 4.66 million ETH, aims to turn its treasury into a yield-focused revenue model.

Crypto entrepreneur Nic Carter said Bitcoin developers are moving too slowly on making the network quantum-resistant, while Ethereum already has a post-quantum roadmap targeting 2029. He argued that elliptic curve cryptography is nearing obsolescence and that blockchain systems may need to support changing cryptographic schemes, as he warned ETH/BTC could reflect diverging priorities.

Ethereum (ETH) climbed nearly 3% on Wednesday, extending a rebound that lifted price back to the $2,160 area. Ali Martinez said the move may signal a shift from bearish to bullish, highlighting an ascending-triangle setup, on-chain MVRV readings below 0.8, and a SuperTrend flip as key supports for the thesis.

Ethereum rebounded above $2,100 after recent volatility, but on-chain watchers say some large holders have shifted from accumulation to selling. A dormant wallet reportedly sent 15,000 ETH (about $30.97 million) to Coinbase, and another whale sold 15,002 ETH on March 23 for roughly $30.97 million. With ETH around $2,100 and down more than 5% over the past seven days, continued large sell-offs could add pressure and test $2,000.

Ethereum rose 1.25% in the past 24 hours to $2,166, even as trading volume fell more than 33% to $18.53 billion. On March 25, whales added 142,773 ETH worth $308 million, while Open Interest increased 7.51% to $30.83 billion. The 4-hour setup points to a potential move toward $2,351 only if ETH closes above the $2,180 neckline resistance.

Google has set a 2029 target to complete its post-quantum cryptography migration, saying advances in quantum hardware and error correction are bringing risks closer. The company warned that current encryption, digital signatures and authentication services could be threatened as quantum capabilities accelerate.

Investors are repositioning ahead of the CLARITY Act, as expectations that stablecoin balances may not earn yield raise questions about where on-chain "passive" returns will come from. Ethereum was up 1.5% intraday at the time of writing and sat near $2.2k resistance, while analysts argue capped stablecoin yields could redirect capital into ETH staking and increase network activity. The setup is also framed around a roughly $164 billion stablecoin pool on Ethereum, a reported plan to stake about $6 billion worth of ETH over the next 50 days, and about 3.46 million ETH ($7.4 billion) available on exchanges.

On Tuesday, bitcoin and ether ETFs swung back to net outflows, while solana and XRP ETFs recorded small net inflows. Bitcoin ETFs saw a $74.53 million exit and ether ETFs lost $40.80 million, even as solana ETFs added $4.64 million and XRP ETFs took in $1.40 million. Trading volumes stayed elevated, but net assets for the major funds ended lower.

Ether's readily tradable supply is shrinking as staking participation climbs and exchange-held balances continue to decline. About 38.1 million ETH, or roughly 33.1% of the total supply, was staked on Wednesday, while large exchange outflows and multi-year-low reserves suggest fewer coins are immediately available for spot trading.
