Hashi Secures Over $500M in Commitments to Bring Institutional Bitcoin Collateral to Sui via Anchorage
Hashi, an institutional infrastructure initiative building on the Sui network, announced on Oct. 8 that it has secured more than $500 million in partner capital commitments ahead of its phased mainnet launch scheduled for later in October. Backed by over 20 partners, including regulated digital asset platform Anchorage Digital, the protocol facilitates institutional Bitcoin lending via hBTC, a synthetic asset minted on Sui representing off-chain vaulted BTC. According to project disclosures, Anchorage Digital will serve as a launch partner offering regulated and self-custody pathways to circumvent standard retail DeFi tooling. The project noted that the $500 million figure represents preliminary liquidity pledges rather than active total value locked (TVL), with network adoption dependent on whether these capital commitments translate into sustained borrowing demand across Sui's decentralized finance ecosystem.
