Some institutional observers cited in the report said holiday-related outflows are typical and noted that January ETF flows, once normal trading resumes, may provide clearer directional signals.

Coinbase Pro reported the largest net outflow during the period, with 294.74 BTC leaving the platform.

The analyst noted that selling at a loss by buyers who entered at higher levels has not declined significantly, despite Bitcoin trading above what Glassnode describes as the "true market mean" of roughly $81,000. The persistent losses reflect dissatisfaction with time cost among recent buyers.
