It plans to sell newly mined Bitcoin daily as it shifts to AI data center infrastructure. Q3 2026 revenue was $28 million versus $68 million a year earlier, after a planned US Bitcoin mining shutdown in Q2 2026 and lower Bitcoin prices.

MARA Holdings said on November 5 that the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has approved its acquisition of Long Ridge Energy & Power, ruling the deal is in the public interest. The purchase adds a 505-megawatt combined-cycle natural gas plant and more than 1,600 acres of land. The deal is expected to close within weeks, lifting MARA's self-generated power capacity by more than 300%. MARA said the acquisition will support its expansion into AI and high-performance computing infrastructure, ChainThink reported.

Core Scientific reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $232.9 million, an increase of about 187% year over year, according to a company announcement. High-Density Hosting (HDC) data center revenue accounted for $215.4 million of the total, up nearly 60% from the prior quarter. As of Sept. 30, the company had 485 MW of billed hosting capacity in service, equivalent to more than $700 million in annualized GAAP hosting revenue.
