Anthropic Pledges 5% of Shares to Public Benefit Fund as Musk Urges Giving All Shares to the Public
Anthropic plans to commit 5% of its shares to a newly created Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a stake that could grow as the company's valuation rises. The initial commitment is subject to stockholder approval, and the board could add 2% for every 50% increase in valuation. The fund is a wholly owned limited liability company and has already pledged $200 million for labor market research. Anthropic said its public benefit work, including AI safety, will continue inside the company.
